All American: Road Trip in California
Oh this? This was the time that we stopped to get gas and had to feed Baby Zoe in the car and we got ice cream because it was a million degrees out and mom's throat hurt from her sinus infection and Caleb wouldn't listen about keeping the lid on his milk shake cup so he spilled half of it all over himself and his car seat and Luke said, "that's why you have to listen to mother." That's right, he said "mother." And I had to take pictures because I felt like this was a seminal American family road trip moment.

Down South
We left for Temecula a little too late. I thought I had packed enough food for the trip. WRONG. So we had to stop at Jack and the Box which was SO depressing. And then, because we had left late, we hit LA in time for monstrous Friday night traffic so we stopped by friends of Aunt Emily's that live in Echo Park. They have a beautiful craftsman home that Caleb ran through and we got a decent (actually super yummy) dinner while waiting out the traffic.
