2 Schools=2 Halloweens

Last Day

Monday was a bit quieter. Most people were back home or returned to their routine, but we had late flights and time for the playground. Aunt Lynn and cousin Kayleigh showed us a great park.

And then we went home.

Trees and Halloween

The next day, half the family had left, but those of us who were left went up to a family friend's cabin, one where Chad had gone a lot growing up, to play games and hang out among the trees. Zoe was able to take a much needed mountain nap and Caleb tromped through the trees with his second-cousin, Kale.

Then we were able to sneak into a neighborhood Halloween party that Caleb's other second cousins were going to.

Zoe had never seen snow before. Caleb had to tell her what the white stuff was.

And then we were off to a park on the edge of the where the houses stopped and the hills began, to share stories about Chad.

Denver

We found ourselves flying to Denver to celebrate the life of Luke's cousin, Chad. The kids and I got to meet Chad while we were in Florida a year and a half ago. He was gentle, kind and great with Caleb and Zoe. As quiet as he was when all of the family was together, he was plenty talkative when he joined us on a walk to the playground.

Zoe and Caleb were excited to go on an airplane, and there was plenty of family in Denver to play with.

Zoe came down the stairs after dinner looking lovely! She got dressed up by two of her cousins who then taught her how to pose. She was loving all of the attention.
