Dylan's Birthday Party!

Dylan's birthday party was the first birthday party Caleb has been to for someone in his class. Everyone had a great time, the sun was out, and there were even some babies for Zoe to play with.

We met a couple of Caleb's school friends at the zoo... not the part with the animals, but the part with the rides and the train that takes you around some animals.

Caleb Feeds Zoe

Caleb decided it was time for him to take over. Apparently, we weren't doing a good enough job, so he stepped in just long enough to show us how its done.

Twin Peaks

I'd never been up to the top of Twin Peaks until a few weeks ago and when we were in the area and the day was perfectly clear, I had to take mom to the top. What a view.

Happy Birthday Grandma Lila!

Birthday lunch at Chez Panisse. My steak was better than mom's salmon, but her salad was better than mine. Desserts were both fantastic and the shared bottle of Muscadet was a little too easy.

Its a tough life.

Oakland Museum of California

The Oakland Museum of California recently reopened and Grandma Lila, Baby Zoe and I went to check it out. We didn't actually make it into the galleries but wandered through the outdoor rooms filled with sculptures. I am looking forward to going back with Zoe to check out the exhibits.

Caleb helps

Caleb is very good at helping people celebrate their birthdays... mainly, by hijacking the celebration.

happy birthday, Yia Yia!

We celebrated Yia Yia's birthday by going to the Lake Chalet for brunch. We sat underneath an umbrella, protected from the sun on the edge of Lake Merritt. It was lovely.
