Day 17: Marseille

When we have told people in Europe (and a few people in the States, too) our travel plans, many have asked, "Why Marseille??" But, the reason is simple. When I was in high school, I was an exchange student outside of Paris and had all the luck in the world, because my exchange student, Juliette, was a perfect match and I have so many wonderful memories of living with her family and when she stayed at my house in Seattle. And now? She and her sister live in/near Marseille. Her sister, has a son, Camille who is 7, and a daughter, Paula who is 5. It was wonderful for Caleb and Zoe to get to play with some other kids (and their toys!). I don't have many pictures, because we were too busy having fun, but we all went (with a friend of Camille's) to pique-nique at the Calanques. They apologized for the weather because it was a little bit cloudy, but it was beautiful. And then we were invited for dinner at Caro and her very nice partner, Christophe's, apartment.
