More animals!

the zoo (I'm not referring to our house, for once)

We went to the Point Defiance Zoo today. Although it was so SO hot that most of the animals were hiding and/or napping, we saw enough things that crawl/swim/climb, etc to make a great day. C does this thing where he points and coos when he sees somethings he likes and there was a lot of that going on. We thought it would be a success considering his love of cats and dogs, but, man, we found he loves the fish, too.

Nekkid in the yard

So Grandma Lila has been dreaming about being a grandma forever. When she was looking (with grandpa ron) for a retirement home, I mean, a house to retire in, she wanted a yard big enough for a good sized garden, a swing for a grand child and enough room for said grand child to play in. Well, her dream was realized as grandpa ron installed a swing and set up a pool bought from the neighbors. Caleb is going to kill me someday for taking so many naked pictures, but with such cute rolls, how could I resist? (for the sake of the blog, I only chose the "modest" ones)

Next week we'll be on to the Zulaufs where C will be spoiled and loved silly by the rest of his family. Its a good life.

road trip with our new California license plate

We're heading up to Seattle to see the grandparents and celebrate C's first (FIRST!) birthday.

We stopped at the Black Bear Diner in Redding, for a kid friendly lunch.

funny noises

So Caleb isn't saying many words, per say, but he makes a lot of sounds.

Naked Cheerios

Practicing the sign for "more" instead of just screaming... yum, Cheerios.
