Glass Museum

One of our very last days in Tacoma, we went with grandma Lila, Yia Yia and Grandpa Jay to the glass museum. Lots of sun = bright colors

Haircut

This time? Too busy to care-too busy flying a rocket ship.

Sliding on the beach

The sand down at Dash Point park was much better for sand castles than the sand at Alki. We feel like official prepared parents now that we always have sand toys and a beach blanket handy in the car.

Alki Beach

With Caleb, you can't go wrong with sand+water. Tried and true, these are his favorites, especially when you add buckets, sticks and dad.

Caleb's first board game...

didn't go quite as dad had hoped. Mainly, because Caleb just turned two and when he thinks about turns it involves yelling "Caleb's turn!" or "my turn!" while trying to take over something. (For example, when I am cutting up vegetables for dinner and he yells "my turn" or I am holding the cat and he says "Caleb's turn! Hold her!") But, he rolled the color die a couple times and matched up the red flower token with the red flower in his "garden."

I'm on a boat

We started the day off in Madrona, at the Hi Spot and a family friend's baby shop called Buggy. Post-nap, we took a family boat ride on the lake.

July 5th. Birthday part 2

On the 5th, we went down to grandpa Ron's and grandma Lila's. All of the cousins helped celebrate Caleb and Ron's birthday.

July 4th. Also known as birthday part one

The weather was beautiful, we were happy to not be in the car after the two day drive up and... Olivia joined us from New York! Caleb loved seeing his Yia Yia, grandpa Jay, uncle Nick and great-grandma Margaret. He opened cards from his great-aunts, a slide whistle, a Tickle Monster book + gloves and a recycling truck. The day ended very late with his own fireworks show on the deck.
