Through the window

Easter!

We went up to Seattle to help keep Grandma Lila company after her knee operation.  I flew with both of the kids by myself for the first time.  It was exhausting.  No surprise there.  Caleb stayed with Yia Yia and Papou until Easter so there was a little less chaos while Grandma Lila was recovering.  It poured rain on Easter, so the eggs were inside, but we had sunshine the day before.

earth day weekend at the zoo

This was the first time that all four of us went to the zoo, together, just us.  Except for Caleb not paying attention to what he was doing and stepping in the pond, by accident (the one day he wears socks!), we had a great time.

Trip up to Saulsalito

Zoe had been sick, we were all feeling a little stir crazy.  So we hit the road, crossed the bridge and had a lovely (fish) dinner in Sausalito where we could sit outside in the sun with the gulls and check out the boats while we were waiting for food.

Inpromptu Swim Lesson

We met a couple friends at the park for a playdate and they invited us along for their private swim lesson.  (Caleb was in his undies.) Caleb did very well considering how long its been since he's had any lessons and he had no problem putting his whole face in the water.

Chicks

What a great day.  We met Ben and his friend, Molly, who were in town for a long weekend, at the Academy of Sciences and had a really nice time.  There were special exhibits set up to celebrate spring (like hatching chicks) and Sunday mornings are members-only so the place was pretty empty.  Caleb and I made June Bug (his cutting skills have improved so much!) and we wandered through the rainforest sphere and down through the aquarium.  There weren't many pictures because we were too busy enjoying ourselves.  After lunch, we sat out in the sun while the kids ran around in the fenced lawn by the cafeteria.  So pleasant.
