After a delicious hipster brunch at the Oddfellows Cafe with lovely company, we hit Cal Anderson Park where Caleb made a couple friends and both kids hit the fountain.

Summer Vacation Part 3: Ice Cream

After dinner, we hopped on the boat and headed for Kirkland to get Ice Cream. This was Zoe's first ice cream cone, so she went with a waffle cone and "green" (Mint Chocolate Chip). Caleb opted for Cookies 'n Cream.

The Seattle Aquarium. Never disappoints. We hadn't been since Bug was a baby, so it was fun to see her high-five the SCUBA diver and poke the sea stars.

Summer Vacation Part 1: Arrival

After two days in the car with two little kids, one big grump and a dog, I would have been happy to have been anywhere else. But this was much better than just anywhere. This was good people, good food, good weather and space. SPACE. Space to run around and beach to build forts on. And so many pies.And it was all in a setting that made me think I was had stumbled into a Sunset magazine photo shoot. Life can be very good sometimes.
