trains, ponies, and art trains

We had the pleasure of Melodi, Elise and Baby Ethan spending the day with us.

We started the day with a mini-train ride in Griffith Park:

Then a pony ride. Since Caleb found Luke's old cowboy hat from a trip to a dude ranch he took as a kid, Caleb has wasn't to ride a horse. Watching the equestrian cross-country Olympics didn't help. Today, his wish came true.

Then, we went to LACMA for lunch. LACMA is amazing and is free for kids until their 18th birthday and for one adult per child. They have a kids' art room where the kids could paint.

And there is so much art, everywhere, from everywhere, from many times all at various levels of accessibility.
