So Zoe is doing this really fun thing where we take her on a walk, or try to go somewhere and she. just. stops. There's no crying or tantrums. She. just. stops. Sits downs, does yoga poses, hops like a frog. We didn't bring the stroller to the PNW. By her age, Caleb could walk forever and still be happy to go further as long as there were things to look at, hands to hold, people to smile at, questions to ask. Not Zoe.
So our location in Vancouver was perfect. It was located on the seawall, which is a wonderful walking path that goes from/through Stanley Park along the waterfront and end near the convention center. The convention center. Where dad's conference was. Where when we tried to meet him at the whale, we had to leave 45 minutes for a 20 minute (on Caleb's legs) walk because Zoe just. kept. stopping. And I knew she would, because she's been working on that routine and usually I just pretend to leave and she comes running after me, but I couldn't do that on a busy Vancouver path. I tried, concerned people stopped to try to offer her help. She called my bluff and from that point on I was powerless. I ordered a new stroller immediately. The following photos were taken the afternoon that the grandparents left and I thought I could handle a walk with both kids. I bribed them with ice cream. I took them to the park. Zoe made it almost miserable to the point that Caleb was ready to ditch her. Eh. She's almost two... whatareyougoingtodo? Get a stroller.
