The meaning of together has changed. When we used to talk about spending the weekend "together" or time "together" it meant the two of us: Luke and Erin. Then "all together" came to mean us three: Caleb, Luke and Erin. Now, it is "the whole family" which means Zoe, Caleb,
Luke and Erin because "together" has many variations. Today, "together" for me was taking Caleb out to try on some new shoes and eat lunch together. He was a great date providing witty observations, jokes and banter. Later, after the naps, we loaded the car up with a picnic dinner of left overs and went to the park "as a family."
