I finally finished Caleb's quilt...those of you who knew my Grandma Elizabeth know that she must have been whispering inspiration to me as it much resembles many of her projects. In fact, it was in her memory that I made it. For my fifth birthday (or there about), I was given a quilt that my grandma had made mostly when she was a little girl and my aunt finished later. I still remember laying on my bed, trying to choose which square was my favorite and thinking about how incredible it was that she had made it.

Hello!
CONGRATULATIONS! I just heard about Caleb! He's so beautyfull!! I'm so glad for you guys!
That is fabulous. I have a similar memory of a quilt my mother made while pregnant, thinking WOW look what she MADE! That's so COOL!
Your quilt for Caleb turned out absolutely beautiful, Erin!! Some day he, too, will realize how special he is to be loved so much by you that you spent hours upon hours of your (not so free)time making a super soft and cuddly quilt for him to snuggle in and feel totally safe and cared for in.....how lucky is that!!!! xo Darlene
