I am realizing that I took a whole bunch of photos on Christmas with Darlene's camera but none on mine...This photo is from the day after Christmas when Jon, O, Ben (from Qatar), Emily and Dan stopped by. (That's a lot of Zulaufs) I'll try to get my hands on Christmas photos soon.

Impossible to photograph, so this is just an announcement-but we have our first tooth! That's right, folks, the lower tooth on Caleb's right has broken through the gums. Its been along time coming and has taken a lot of work, but its finally here!

At the Table!!
C's new high chair has made it possible to sit up at the table with us. Although all of us were excited about this, it made us realize that we have to keep all of our food out of his arm's radius and that dinner will never be quiet again.

Grasping new things
Caleb is becoming more aware of the world around him and expressing that awareness through grabbing any and everything in his reach. He seems to love hair, especially.

Quilt

I finally finished Caleb's quilt...those of you who knew my Grandma Elizabeth know that she must have been whispering inspiration to me as it much resembles many of her projects. In fact, it was in her memory that I made it. For my fifth birthday (or there about), I was given a quilt that my grandma had made mostly when she was a little girl and my aunt finished later. I still remember laying on my bed, trying to choose which square was my favorite and thinking about how incredible it was that she had made it.November 24, 2007

Thanks
We have much to be thankful for this year...Two of us have become three of us, and much more a family. We have a new house which we are finally starting to feel settled into. And we have amazing friends and family who have made all of this possible...and there's the fact that I (Erin) was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner this year with out throwing up right afterwards.

Solid Food
Caleb went in for his four month check up and got a clean bill of health.
17lbs 7 3/4 heavy
26 3/4" long
Because our little boy is not so little, the Doc recommended starting solid foods. And since Grandma Lila was in town one more night, we had to make sure she shared this first with us. A mess ensued, but, man, we had fun!

Supervised Tummy Time!

Caleb is getting very strong and is quite capable of holding his head up high (which is a feat when you have a melon the size of his).
